Past science fiction stories paint a frightening image of computers that can think and strive to take over the world. Today, we have a collection of computers that IBM calls Watson. Watson is very capable on non-linear thinking and understanding natural speech. In other words, almost human. These skills will be put to use on Jeopardy where Watson plays against two past champions. Are we at the edge of that boundary where computers that think come into power? This would be a fascinating book.
